Ohrid’s boiled bagel

Boiled pretzels ... Retro. I tried them for the first time in Ohrid at Chinarot. Macedonia is known for its natural beauties. And Ohrid and Lake Ohrid are one of the main tourist destinations in Macedonia. According to the data, the city was first mentioned 2400 years before the new era. Due to the large number of churches and monasteries, the city is known as the Balkan and European Jerusalem. My recommendation is to visit it!

I still remember the taste. There was a queue. Whoever gets to buy one before they run out- is the lucky one. Now they can be found everywhere and in all flavours and varieties. But the memories cannot be erased... ❤

Ohrid’s boiled bagel

Ingredients:

  • 1 dry yeast
  • 213 gr. flour
  • 125 ml. of lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 30 гр.путер

Preparation:

The yeast grows into the water with the sugar. Knead the dough with the flour, salt and add the risen yeast and the butter. Leave it to rise for 40 minutes. Form bagels and put them in boiling water with baking soda for 10 seconds. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, flaxseed , chia seed if desired .Bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.

THIS DOSAGE IS FOR 6 PRETZELS.
