Welcome!
According to the Macedonian tradition, following the example of our grandparents, when guests arrive, they are greeted with homemade preserve (jam), coffee and a glass of water. And so, it has been since time immemorial. And still is…
Welcome to my blog!

My Story
Traveller, enjoy beautiful things, great adventurer, hedonist by nature, constantly looking for new adventures and challenges, more than 15 years ago fate made me leave Skopje, Macedonia and come to live in Hungary, in the beautiful Budapest. I am lawyer by profession, but cook by passion and love. I built a wonderful home and family since. My biggest inspiration are Karina and Martin. “Mom, why should we buy when you can do it better?!” “Mom, how did you learn to cook so well?”, “Mom, can you make me an apple pie just like the one made by Aron's grandmother?..”
I got the idea for the blog from my loved ones. The phone kept ringing, of course always when I was too busy to answer, and I would dictate recipes while in the car or on the street, or I would just share the adventures that happened on that day. I like a good photo, especially of food, since I eat with my eyes. I enjoy making cakes, sweets, pastries, but I also enjoy trying out new recipes from various cuisines. One learns throughout one’s life and many times I have experienced sticky dough I cannot peel off, a filling that will cover more floor than a cake, rock hard biscuits, and a photo which does not come even close to what I have imagined.
My mission is to reach out to people all over the world, to help them experience the charm and exoticism of the Balkans, to enjoy the imperial monarchy, to travel with me and to feel at home whenever and wherever they visit my blog. I believe that a cuisine is the best way to get close to and get to know the people, their culture and tradition.
Enjoy my gastronomic journey …
With love,
Margarita
