Imperial Crumbs
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 150 ml milk
- 180g flour
- a pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons butter (40- 50g)
- Vanilla sugar
- Powdered sugar
Preparation:
Separate the whites from the yolks. Whisk the egg yolks with sugar, add flour and milk and mix well. Whisk egg whites separately with a pinch of salt and by hand combine with the yolks.
Melt the butter in a preheated pan and bake the mixture like one big pancake for 3 minutes on one side, cut into 4 parts with a fork and turn over to the other side for another 3 minutes. Cut into smaller pieces with a fork. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with jam or mashed apples or plum compote. Raisins soaked in rum can be added to the dough.
