Puff pastry with cheese according to my mother's recipe with the taste and smell from childhood. When I can no longer buy flavors and tastes, I roll up my sleeves and make this pastry or as it is also called “Sechenica”. The original recipe is my grandmother’s, my mother often made it, so now it is my turn, then Karina will make it for her children and so the family tradition will endure ... ❤️

Puff pastry with cheese
Ingredients:
- 500 gr. flour
- 3 dl. lukewarm water
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Lard
Filling:
- 400 gr. cheese
Preparation:
Knead the dough with the flour and the other ingredients. Divide the dough into 24 balls. Each ball is rolled out in the shape of a round plate and coated with grease. Blend 3, one on top of the other, and the third one on top is not coated. The procedure is repeated 8 times. In a round greased pan, roll out the crust from the initial three. Sprinkle with lard and crushed cheese. The procedure is repeated with the next 7, and crushed cheese is put between each one. The pastry is cut into cubes and sprinkled with lard. Leave to soak for 30 minutes. Bake at 200 degrees.
