The \u201cGundel\u201d restaurant with its past and outstanding cuisine is referred to in the 19th century, during the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, and is still considered one of the most elite restaurants in Europe. The restaurant is located in Budapest, next to Heroes' Square and the Zoo. I have been there once. I remember eating pancakes. And how can I forget them?! Not that I have not tried pancakes ever, but in such an environment, served in porcelain ... the Gundel pancakes are my favourite dessert, and I often make them. Let's travel through time and enjoy together... The serving plate is a separate story ... Herend handmade porcelain. It carries a background. It was a gift from my favourite uncle Misho for my wedding. I had no idea. When he came to Budapest for my wedding, he asked me about the most typical gift to buy as a souvenir to take home, to be handpicked by me. I chose a Herend porcelain cake stand and a vase designed by Queen Victoria. It dates back to 1826 and to this day such featured patterns are handmade like Victoria, Rothschild, Viennese roses, the Royal Garden, Miramare etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
